“Brian Stephens is an in-demand session and gigging drummer who proves that you don’t have to live in New York, Los Angeles, or Nashville to succeed.”
— Modern Drummer Magazine
About Brian Stephens
Brian Stephens is a drummer, producer, and engineer based in Atlanta with 30+ years of experience on stage, in the studio, and behind the board. He works with artists, bands, churches, and working musicians who need someone who can play the part, record it, mix it, and explain it — all without missing a deadline.
What Brian Does
Brian plays live shows, tours, and sub gigs as a drummer; records real drum tracks remotely for artists and producers from Secret Cove Studios; produces, edits, mixes, and masters recordings; coaches drummers, producers, and musicians on technique and career strategy; and handles live sound, AV, and production for churches and venues. Most clients only need one of these. Some need three.
Why That Combination Matters
Understanding both sides of the glass changes how Brian works. He plays parts that are easy to mix. He mixes with a drummer’s ear for feel and pocket. He coaches from real studio and stage experience, not theory. For clients, that means fewer handoffs, fewer surprises, and someone who already understands what the finished product needs to sound like.
Career Snapshot
30+ years playing and recording professionally. Hundreds of sessions across genres and formats. Regular stage and studio work, side by side. Ongoing coaching and mentorship for drummers and producers building their own careers.
Current Focus
Right now Brian is focused on remote drum tracking out of Secret Cove Studios, production and mixing work for independent artists, live drumming and sub gigs around Atlanta, and coaching musicians who want a faster, smarter path forward.
